Starting out under the KCAR 505 NAR Section, Blake Goddard has worked with thousands of children over the last 15+ years. With the last 10 years, he has been working with multiple schools, being an advisor, mentor, or just a helping hand.
Since 2012, he's helped over 1,000 students fly their first rockets, brought high school students into ARC and high power rocketry, and was the Director for the National Association of Rocketry Annual Convention, or NARCON.
KCSAI was started in June of 2024 to further his goal of bringing critical thinking skills, scientific methods, and team building into school districts and educational organizations within the Kansas City Metro area through the American Rocketry Challenge.
Blake won the KC STEM Fest 50th annual Leadership Award in 2025.
Since then, Bryce's Better Days and Operation Breakthrough have both reached out, and are creating American Rocketry Challenge teams this spring.
As of 2026, KCSAI has teams setup in 5 major school districts on both states in the Kansas City Metro area.
